The product will automatically connect to the home hub via Thread when there is a Thread-enabled home hub at your home, such as HomePod (2nd generation), HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or 3rd generation with an Ethernet port), or a supported third-party border router. Otherwise, the product will connect to the home hub via Bluetooth.

Qingping Motion & Light Sensor consist of two parts:

1. Main body: it can detect personnel motion and measure illuminance.

2. The base: the main body can be attached to the base; the facing angle can be adjusted.

How to connect the device to your iPhone / iPad

Connect to “Apple Home”:

You can open the “Home” app on your iOS or iPadOS device, and tap “+”, then select “Add or Scan Accessories”, and then follow the instructions the app shows.

Connect to “Qingping+”:

Download and install “Qingping+”. After installation, open the “Qingping+” app and add a device, select “Qingping Motion & Light Sensor T”, and then follow the instructions the app shows.

Troubleshoot common issues

Question 1：Products cannot be added to HomeKit:

Without restoring to factory settings: Press and hold the blue button on the back until the indicator light stays on, wait for the indicator light to go out before adding the device again.The battery is out of power or the battery is installed incorrectly: Short press the blue button on the back and See if the light comes on briefly. If not, it means the battery is out of power or the battery is installed incorrectly.System error occurs: Restart the phone.The HomeKit QR code is posted incorrectly: send an email to the support email address in the User Manual.

Question 2：The product battery life：

The battery life of the device is actually related to the number and frequency of movements it detects. If the device is installed in an area where people frequently come and go, the device’s power consumption will be relatively faster.

Question 3：The product is not responsive：

1. The detection logic of the HomeKit is designed not to report the same state repeatedly, so the device won’t redundantly report the “motion detected” status.Instead, the device needs to report the “no motion detected” status once before reporting “motion detected” again when it detects movement or someone passing by during the next detection.

Note: The duration standard for determining “no motion detected” can be customized and modified in Qingping+ APP.

2. The protective film on the lens has not been removed.
