Over the years I have worn a lot of cans on my head. From cheap gaming backup headsets to high-end gaming headsets all the way up to 'audiophile' worthy status. The Steelseries Arctis Nova 3s are a fantastic mid-high end set of headphones that have an almost perfect all around setup and audio quality. From its microphone, to the driver sizes, its streaming and audio tools, comfort headband, size setting/weight, it does everything really well. That does not mean it is flawless as the headset could be a little bigger/drop down lower for massive dudes like myself but that is a minor gripe as I can still wear them fairly comfortably. just a 1/4" lower past max and it would be perfect.
Also while the mic is great for a small retractable stick mic, it will never be as good as a dedicated studio microphone. However, this one sounds better than most and is good for streaming, chatting, or recording your voice on gameplay and/or content creation. It also has multiple settings in which you adjust side tone along with sensitivity and even cut out background noises like your fan in the background. It comes with surround sound, but I have never been really able to make up my mind if I like it turned on of off. Thats with all 7.1 headphones, not just the Nova 3s.
My only real dislike had to due with a certain sound frequency band. It just seemed to be missing certain mid tones and instead of trying to do something clever with software, they just added more Bass. So if your a bass lover, these lightweight cans can definitely deliver, but even without these missing tones, you arent missing anything in-game and its just something to get used to. Overall, for my everyday headset, I am glad I made the purchase. This was a replacement for a Logitech G635 which were my favorite and I used for years. However a recent refresh changed them and these will be my new go-to's untill I discover something better for below 100 bucks!

I bought a pair of open-box Nova 3's for my friends, who love them. I already had an Arctis 5 and am now on a Nova 7. The speaker quality on the 3s is just as good. Only lacks wireless (wifi and bluetooth) and the chat mix dial. If you can live without those, the Nova 3s are great.

The sound quality is wayyy worse than my older headset from the same brand, and the comfort is non-existent it is wayyy too tight even at its max. The connectivity is awful you either have to choose between using a mixer or having RGB rather than having two plugs one for the aux and one for the USB. Not worth the price honestly I would recommend the cheaper Arctis prime or pro.

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Multi-Platform Gaming Headset (Renewed) promised a premium gaming audio experience, and while it did hit some high notes, there were a few areas where it fell short.
Starting with the positives, the signature Arctis sound is definitely impressive. The immersive sound quality makes you feel part of the game. The ClearCast Gen 2 mic also provides decently clear voice communication which is a big plus for team gaming sessions.
Comfort, another crucial factor for long gaming sessions, is pretty much nailed by this headset. The ear cushions are soft and the headband is adjustable, allowing for hours of wear without discomfort.
Now, onto the areas that need improvement. One significant downside I’ve found is the connectivity across multiple platforms. While advertised as multi-platform, the experience wasn’t as smooth on mobile compared to PC. I encountered intermittent connection drops and slightly reduced sound quality when paired with mobile devices.
Furthermore, as a “renewed” product, it should meet the same quality standards as a new one. Unfortunately, mine came with minor aesthetic blemishes which didn’t affect the performance but did undermine the overall unboxing experience.
Lastly, the headset lacks robustness. It feels somewhat delicate, and I am concerned about its durability over time, particularly for gamers like me who tend to use their equipment quite heavily.
In conclusion, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 is a respectable choice for its sound quality and comfort but falls short in the areas of multi-platform performance and build quality. If these factors are not a deal-breaker for you, this headset might still be worth considering. Otherwise, it may be prudent to explore other options.

I had the original arctis 5 and was already familiar with the steelseries program online once i plugged these ones in the program updated and was a lot easier to use. It is set so you have more functions in the sonar settings and right away i could tell the difference in audio. Great functionality for gaming and great quality just like all there products they don't feel cheap feel great on the ears for hours and light so you kinda forget they are on.
